I just want all of you to know that this is a place where you can share your thoughts and ideas openly. I want this blog to be a fun place as well as a thought provoking place. I love deep discussions, prose, poetry and funnies! Life is too short to be serious all of the time so have fun! Let's just do it! Share with me, folks.

Me And My Shadow.

My baby, Shadow, went to play in heaven on September 26th. She was still a happy, loving, dancing dog, but her body functions were shutting down. Especially her Kidney's. I miss her horribly and always will. I am extremely thankful for little Emma. She snuggles with me and makes me feel better.

This is my 14 year old Lab, Shadow. She will be 15 December 2nd. She is smart and spry and dances when I come home. She protects me by barking when other dogs come close and sometimes the hair stands up when someone tries to enter my room. I have had her since she was 1 1/2 years old. She was an abused baby and I saved her from certain death.
Some people shouldn't have pets--or kids for that matter, but that is a different post.
When I got her I was going to rename her, because Shadow is really so over used for a Black Lab, but every time I turned around I tripped over her. I decided that she was my Shadow, ergo, the name stuck.
She is a gift and I can't imagine life without her.

My Emma Loves to Cuddle

This is my Emma Sweet. She is a bird dog to the nth degree. She loves to cuddle in my lap and give me love. She is just like a kid who runs and runs all day and then drops at night and sleeps deeply and soundly. Sometimes she snores, which makes me smile.
The best therapy anyone could have is a little Emma Sweet to greet them at the end of a long day. She really keeps me sane.
She loves me with her whole doggie heart and life is easier as a result.
